Senior Management: A Strategic Approach to Investigative Policy

As incidents of IT misuse  are increasingly prevalent in the businesses community today, developing effective policy to counter such situations is critical. Often the originator of such protocols, senior management is increasingly required  to take a lead in  this complex issue and anticipate necessary strategies.

Orchestrating an  organisation-wide  co-ordinated response in situations of IT-misuse requires a thorough understanding of the roles different business units in your organization play in responding to such incidents. It also requires an understanding of the basics of undertaking an investigation.

"A Strategic Approach to IT Investigative Policy" has been designed to provide senior managers with a general understanding of investigative theory and procedures. It demonstrates how they can use their position to encourage a unified organisational approach to handling cases of IT misuse, and also to shape effective Emergency Response Teams. Based on the knowledge of these essential components, participants will be better able to develop effective policies that reduce the company’s exposure to financial irregularities, IP theft, computer misuse and other reputational issues.
